How practice works

• Same rules as the daily. Four guesses; each wrong guess unlocks the next hint (the theme and a nudge, then the word count and letters, then how the answer starts). Typing is just as forgiving: capitals, punctuation, spaces and a leading “the”, “a” or “an” are ignored.
• Six themes, 214 puzzles. Animals, Food & drink, Places, Sport & games, Sayings & phrases, and Jobs & everyday things, 30 to 41 puzzles each. Pick one, or play from all of them at random.
• No repeats until a theme runs out. Each puzzle you finish is remembered in this browser, so a return visit starts with ones you have not seen. When a theme is used up the page says so and offers a reshuffle.
• Your streaks are safe. Practice keeps its own record under its own storage key and never reads or writes your daily stats. There is no timer and no score to protect: the count at the top (“3 of 5 solved”) is for this visit only.
• Sharing stays spoiler-free. Share sends the theme and your count, such as “Stay Dank practice · Animals · 4 of 6 solved”, never an answer or an emoji row.

Practice is not the daily. The Daily phrase and Film night are one puzzle each per day, the same for everyone, with a streak; missed days are in the archive. Practice puzzles are extra, and are written never to match a daily answer, so playing them cannot spoil a past or future day.
